Essie Fail?

I have another fail to add to my list.  I could just delete the pictures and forget about the main, but I choose to share my failures in an attempt to learn and help others learn. :)
I have this problem where I have so many designs in my head that I want to try that when it comes to actually completing the mani my brain freezes!  It took me awhile to come up with this design and unfortunately I think that it is a complete failure!  Everytime I try a matte mani I mess it up.  There were some good points with this mani, but I over thought it and the end result had too much going on.  But I did get to experiment with two of my new Essie colors: Size Matters and School of Hard Rocks.  As a side note I am also back to using my OPI Nail Envy as a base coat.  I felt that my nails needed a pick-me-up after so many polish changes and Nail Envy is great at doing just that!
This is School of Hard Rocks with a top coat of Seche Vite.  This is an amazing color, I would call it a grayish, blue.  Like all Essie colors it applied like butter with true coverage after 2 coats.

As I already stated, I really wanted to do a matte mani.  I added 2 coats of Essie's Matte About You to achieve the matte look. I loved this look so much!!  I will have to try it again.

Next step was to add Size Matters, a gorgeous cranberry, as the stamping color.  I also added another coat of Matte About You.  Bad news was that the stamping did not turn out too well.  I was still having problems getting use to stamping.

A couple of my nails turned out perfect with the stamp, however the overall result was not good! Then I made the mistake of adding Orly Dazzle as accent dots. Big Mistake!!!
After looking at the pictures again, I am thinking that it doesn't look that bad but at the time I couldn't wait to get it off my nails.
What do you think?
