Student Choice

So...the gray and glittery did not last long, 1 day! Because I did not apply the glitter first I had some lumps that were driving me crazy!  I already knew that I was going to change the mani but I wasn't sure what I wanted to do.  Luckily, my students have started noticing that I have been doing my nails more often.  One of my students told me that I need to use pink, purple and orange on my nails.  This sounded like a good idea!  I went home and picked out my polishes.

I have been wanting to use my Butter London Blowing Raspberries, so that was an easy pick for the pink.  However, once I got it on my nails I found out that it is more red than the cool pink that is in the bottle.  A little disappointed, for the design, but it is an awesome color and I'm not disappointed in purchasing it!  I added a coat of Northern Lights for sparkle after my 3 coats in an attempt to match the color in the bottle.  You really only need 2 coats for nice coverage.
My next step was to tape off my nail at an angle and add O.P.I. Rumple's Wiggin'.  I finished off the design by adding 3 dots to each nail in Essie's Art Deco.  I was worried that the colors would not look good together but I have to say...Pretty COOL!  I did have some lighting problems when taking the pictures because of a lack of sun, which you see in the first couple of pictures.  I was able to get some better pictures today while the sun was out. (But it is still hard to get a good picture of the colors.  Blowing Raspberries just does not like to be photographed!)
