25 Days of Christmas Challenge: Day 22 Wreaths

OMG!!! Is it already day 22!?!? Where has the time gone?

Today's design is all about the Christmas Wreath.  There are parts of this design that I like and parts that did not turn out so well. :(

I applied 2 coats of Orly Au Champagne and 2 coats of China Glaze Glittering Garland as an accent.

Many steps later:
I meant to take pictures of each step, however once I got started I forgot.  I sponged China Glaze Holly-Day for the wreaths and then went back and added the decorations.  Gold dots are Pure Ice Bite Me, silver dots are Orly Dazzle and the really bad bows are China Glaze Velvet Bow.  I wanted my accent finger to be a close-up of the wreath but it didn't turn out the way I wanted.  The bow is really hard to see and the dots are too small.  Lesson learned.

Lately I have been very annoyed with the shrinkage that I am getting with SV.  I decided to go back to using Deborah Lippman's Addicted to Speed.  I applied 2 coats and just look at that shine.  I forgot how much I like this top coat and it dries fast.

May the shininess distract you from the horrible bows! :)

  1. You get credit for even giving it a go!! My husband thought my reindeer were Mr. Hanky the Christmas Poo. ;)

  2. The bows aren't that bad! These are so cute! I really love them :)

  3. Cute! The green nail polish on your ring finger is absolutely gorgeous.
