25 Days of Christmas Challenge: Day 23 Christmas Trees

For this design I was going for a retro Christmas look.  I really wanted to use untraditional Christmas colors.

I applied 2 coats of Essie Absolutely Shore.  This is a pretty awesome color, I think you would refer to it as a sea foam color.  If I was going to were this without a design I would probably apply 3 coats because I did not get even coverage with 2.  There were some thin spots.

Many Steps Later:
Once again I wanted to take pictures of each step, but I got absorbed in the process and forgot.  I added to tree stamps using BM 205 and Konad m12.  With the BM stamp I used JulepReese and for the Konad I used Orly Dazzle.  I was aiming for those retro pink and silver Christmas trees.  The next step is were I should of done some editing but I got carried away with my dotting.  I added yellow dots as tree toppers in Butter London Cheeky Chops, white dots with NYC French Tip and red dots with Julep January.

I added 2 coats of Deborah Lippman Addicted to Speed. Shiny and no shinkage!

I like that this design is different and does have that retro feel, however I think that there could be some improvement.  Especially since the pink trees are so hard to see. :(

  1. I like non-traditional colors!! Maybe some new traditions can be started. :)

    Happy Holidays!

  2. I like it! I like how the pink is there but not to much makes you focus on it all!

  3. This is really cool! Love the colors!
