For today's design I went outside my comfort zone. I have never really worn bright colors on my nails, especially a bright yellow. I purchased butter LONDON's Cheeky Chops awhile ago and had only used it once with a stamp. Today I decided to base my design on this polish. This is the first Butter London polish that I was disappointed in the application. It was really streaky, even with 2 coats, however you can't really see it in the pictures.
Next I used Konad plate m64 and Sally Hansen Grey Area. This polish still doesn't look grey to me, more brown.
I was going to make my design shiny but decided that a matte might tone down the yellow. I added 2 coats of Essie Matte About You.
I'm not really sure how I feel about this design. I like it and I don't like it. Maybe it will grow on me. :)
I think it looks cool...the matte adds something special!
ReplyDeleteI love it. Design and colour combo are perfect for me ^_^

ReplyDeleteThats a really pretty butter cup yellow color. It looks good on you, I wish I could wear yellow that well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ladies! The design has grown on me and now I think it looks pretty good! :)
ReplyDeleteI really like this. It makes me think of Rupert Bear!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fan of the pattern, but I'm in love with Cheeky Chops! great swatches, but it's a shame to hear about the application.
ReplyDeleteI love the Yellow! The stamp is cute! I think the color you used dulls the yellow abit. But on the other side it makes it have an antiqued look!
