Watercolor

I first saw this design on The Nail Files page. She posted a video that demonstrates how to create this design.  Since then I have seen it on other blogs.  It looks so easy and the end result is very pretty.  I decided to do a pastel design, however I had problems with the acetone.  I either used too much or too little.  Maybe my colors were too soft.  I also should have added another top coat to my white base.  I had some holes develop that I had to go back and fill.  The end result does not look that bad, but I think I'll use different colors next time.

First, 2 coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White.

Second, added Julep Reese.

Third, added Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow.

Fourth and Fifth, added Essence You Belong To Me and No More Drama. I forgot to take a picture after adding You Belong To Me.
Last, added 1 coat of Out the Door.

You can see that the colors are very soft and don't show that well.  I like the pastel idea but these colors did not give the right result.  It does remind me of Easter! :)

  1. Oh this is cute! I just finished my 31 day challenge and the one for inspired by artwork was inspired by watercolor, but not this way! How did you do this? I simply sponged on different colors for mine!
