Daisy Tip Fail

I was really excited about trying the following design, however it didn't turn out the way I wanted. :(  I first saw this design on Abbie's blog, AbbieNail.  I loved the way it looked and thought it was a cute idea for a French tip.

First I applied 2 coats of China Glaze Electric Pineapple.  This is such a fun color, a mix of yellow and green that is so spring-y.

Second, using my dotting tools and China Glaze White on White, I applied the daisies. This is where things went a bit wrong.  I wanted cute little daisies that sat on the tips of my fingers.  I ended up with large daisies, which looked really off on my pinkie.  I did want to add more daisies to my ring finger as an accent nail.  My middle and index fingers turned out better, but I was so disappointed with the first two that I didn't even bother with my left hand. :(

I haven't given up on this design! I will try it again!

  1. I think you're being too hard on yourself, this turned out so cute!! I do think that with the flower centers that color they look slightly like little fried eggs on your nails!!

  4. This still turned out cute even if it wasnt what you were aiming for. I get how the pinky nail threw things off, it must be hard to match all nails when they arent the same size.

  8. Thanks Ladies! It's my OCD, if the design doesn't turn out perfect, or at least what I define as perfect, it drives me crazy! :) After looking at the pictures I did see that it doesn't look that bad, but not perfect! :)
