There is a chance that I went a little crazy with this mani, lots of layers, but I really like how it turned out!
I have never done a glitter/jelly sandwich before but it has been on my tries list for awhile. I had a hard time deciding what colors to use and then I picked up a couple colors from the OPI Ballet Collection. I have been loving a white mani lately, so I decided to use OPI Don't Touch My Tutu and My Pointe Exactly as an accent.
I started by applying 2 coats of DTMT and MYE. There is not much difference between the polishes in these photos.
I added 1 coat of OPI Rainbow Connection and Pirouette My Whistle. I had a lot of trouble getting glitter on my brush with RC. It actually started to get annoying! PMW had a thicker formula that was easier to apply and so pretty!
Another coat of DTMT and MPE. Here is where it starts coming together!
I didn't think there was enough "WOW" in the mani so I went back and added another coat of RC and PMW.
And another coat of DTMT and MPE.
Topped off with 2 coats of Out the Door.
I think the end result is simply gorgeous! They both look like really cool frankens! (Even though I have way too many layers of polish on nails!)
I love this! It's gonna be a PITA to get off I bet :D x
ReplyDeleteOh I love the ring finger!! I need to try more of these :)
ReplyDeleteI think this turned out really pretty. A subtle way to wear quite bold glitters. I agree though, that this will be... hard... to take off xD
