New Essence Layering

Saturday turned out to be a very good day for me!  Not only did I pick up a few of my Butter London lemmings I also purchased some new Essence polishes!  I decided to try layering using BM214 and a few of my new polishes.

I started with 2 coats of Nude It.  This is a very pretty nude that was opaque in 1 coat, as I have found with the majority of Essence polishes.

For the first layer I used High Spirits, a shimmer, army green.  Because Essence polishes are typically opaque, they work wonderfully when stamping!

Next, I added A Lovely Secret, a new purple that has a darker purple micro-glitter.

To add an extra touch I applied 1 coat of Space Queen, a multi-glitter suspended in a pink tinted base.

I finished it off with 1 coat of Essence Quick Dry.

  1. I love this colour.
The quick dry top coat is actually pretty slow for me which is disappointing. Their polishes normally dry perfectly.
