ASBMF Challenge Day 5: A Rainbow After the Rain

I spent a lot of time thinking, agonizing over this design.  I am always looking for new and unique designs because I don't want to do something that is already all over the nail blogs!  Not that I don't try those designs because some of them are amazing!  After spending some time on Goggle getting inspiration I stumbled across a design by MaD Manis, check out the original because it is stunning!

I started with 1 coat of Milana White On the Spot. I have shown this polish many times so only 1 picture this time.

For this next set there is a lot going on!  I used one of my stripping brushes and a whole bunch of polishes to create the rainbow.  I really thought that this was going to take me forever to do, but it really didn't.  I used 1 color at a time and just filled in the nail.  Don't do one nail at a time or else you will just be wasting polish because your puddles of polish will dry before you get to each nail!

I started with the right side, inside, of my nail and worked toward the left side, outside.  The colors were applied in the order: (sorry, should have taken a bottle shot!)

China Glaze Electric Pineapple
Zoya Tracie
China Glaze Electric Beat
Essence Let's Get Lost
Sinful Colors Nail Art Moonlight
China Glaze Strawberry Fields
Finger Paints Micheltangelo
Zoya Pippa

My next step was to add the storm clouds using a sponge and Zoya Dove.  I also pulled some of the gray into the rainbow using my striping brush, but its hard to see.

I added some sparkle with NL.  Rainbows always sparkle!!

Topped of the design with 2 coats of NYC.

I love this design! It turned out so much better than I thought it would!
