NYC City Sweets

While I was out with my lovely Mumsy a couple weekends ago she tagged along as I went from KMart, to Walgreens, to Rite-Aid, to CVS, Sally's and eventually Wal-Mart.  She really is the best MOM!!!  Anyway, while browsing Rite-Aid the new, limited edition NYC City Sweets Collection was out on display.  My instant reaction was.."You are coming home with me!!"  After I got them home I realized that I already own these colors in many other collections!!  To be honest, I knew that at the store but was in denial!!  Oh, the issues of being a polish-oholic!

If you are looking for a set of pretty pastels that don't cost an arm and a leg I recommend this collection.  I really like NYC In A Minute polishes.  The formula is good and the dry time is amazing!  The City Sweets Collection follows the same formula.  They are easy to apply and are opaque in 2 coats.

If you are planning on adding these to your stay I say hurry up!  In my area I have only seen them at Rite-Aid and only in 2 of the 3 I visited.  They are selling fast!

I only purchased 3 of the 4 in the collection because the pastel green was not available.  I am just going to include all 3 in this post, so it will be pretty long with lots of pictures!!

These swatches are shown with out a base or top coat in an attempt to show them as accurately as possible. 2 coats for each polish.

First is Lavender Cupcake, a soft, lavender that is simply gorgeous!

Second, Peaches'n'Cream, which, to me looks mroe like a soft orange instead of peach.  More of a orange-y, coral instead of peachey.

Last, City Sweets Pink, a soft, bubblegum pink.

These will be perfect for stamping because they dry so fast!

  2. Do you by any chance have Julep Alicia that you could compare Peaches'N'Cream to? I'm loving shades like that right now and just curious how alike they are.

  3. It sounds like great polishes, and I like that they only need two coats for this level of opaqueness. :) Your mum sounds as if she rocks!!! :)
