ASBMF Challenge: Day 10 - Butterflies

As I said in an earlier post, I need to get this challenge done so that I can start the next summer challenge.  I have 4 challenges left that I need to get done before June 20th!

Today's challenge is all about the butterfly, or as I like to call them Flutterbyes! :)  I really wanted to do something different for this challenge because most of the girls did the wing design.  As much as I wanted to try out this design I didn't want to do the same thing.  A couple weeks ago I saw a butterfly design that I LOVED!!!  One of my all time favorite bloggers is Carolina at Colores de Carol!  She was one of the first Nail Bloggers that I followed.  I try to read her blog everyday, and comment but I don't always get around to it! :)  She always has the most awesome stamping designs and her nails always look so perfect! :)

Anyway back to the design.  Her design was so awesome that I knew I had to try it.  Click here for her design. I didn't want to do a total copy of the design so I switched up the colors. I also didn't have the same stamps.

I started with 3 coats of Essie A Crewed Interest.  This polish was thin and streaky, hence the 3 coats, but it is a very pretty, soft peach.

Next, I sponged Essie Navigate Her on the tips.

I stamped the viney design using Milani White on the Spot and BM225.

For the butterflies I used BM05 and 222 with OPI Quarter of a Cent-Cherry, which is red in the bottle but stamps hot pink.

I topped the whole design off with 2 coats of SV.

I am loving my flutterbyes!  The design turned out so nice, and the colors look amazing together!
Thanks for the inspiration Carol...you ROCK!!
