LDS Challenge: Day - 3 Flag Day

The design I have to share today is glitter-tastic!!  I didn't want to go with a simple flag design for this challenge.  I wanted something that would really stand out.  My idea came from a picture that I saw, that I now can't find.  In the picture the design was done on fake nails, so if you happen to come across the picture let me know so I can give credit!

I started with 2 coats of Milani White on the Spot.

I added red stripes using Nailtiques Moscow and a striping brush.

Next, I added 1 coat of Essie Pure Pearlfection.

Things got messy with the next step.  I sponged on Finger Paints Drummer Boy.  I sponged 3 coats for decent coverage.

I had a little box of glitters that I received in a swap, that contained star glitter.  I added some to the tips.  I wish I had white stars, which would have looked better, but these are pretty cool.

I love this design!  It's so sparkly and festive, perfect for Flag Day or the Fourth of July! :)
