Summer Challenge: Day 11 - Pink and Blue Day

Okay...get ready for it....I broke out the CRACKLE!!!!
I had a hard time trying to decide how I wanted or what I wanted to do with pink and blue.  Then I remembered that I had a pink crackle, that I have never used.  I know, what was I thinking?!?!?

I started with 2 coats of Milani Cyberspace.  I really like these holo polishes that Milani released.  They are just so pretty.  Cyberspace was not completely opaque in 2 coats, so if I was wearing it alone I would probably do 3 coats.

Next, I added 1 coat of China Glaze Crackle in Broken Hearted.  The application with this was pretty sucky!  I am thinking of just getting rid of these because I am really disappointed with the whole crackle thing.

I topped it off with 1 coat of SV.

I will admit that I was feeling a tad "blah" when thinking about this challenge and maybe that is reflected in my mani.  But really, crackle sucks! On to the next!  I have tons of free time now that it's summer vacation, so hopefully that will allow me to get more creative! :)

I am sure these fabulous ladies have much better manis:

Debbie - The Crumpet
Neivys - MAQUICLUB GIRL
Helena - Nail Wish
Lucie - Lucy's Stash
Emma - Manicurity
Vic - Glowstars
Jackie - MeMa's Mani's
Rychelle - Colorsplash Nails
Stella - My Wet Nails
Christine - Lost in My Reverie
Bazzie - polish my mind

  1. I also hate like almost all my crackle polishes but I do love the combination of colours.:) x

  2. You're right, the crackle does not do a good job on 'cracking up', but the Cyberspacepolish makes up for it completly, because WOW that's a pretty polish!

  6. The crackle polishes tend to thicken really fast after being used a couple times. Try adding some polish thinner (not polish remover) to the bottle and thin them out. Thinner applications of crackle polishes crackle better. I've got 8 of them and after thinning some of them they all crackle really well.
