Models Own Aqua Violet and Purple Blue

I have finally gotten to the last set of polishes Rainbowify Me sent me in our first swap. In the two swaps that I have done with her, I have received some pretty awesome polishes and goodies!  I really can't say thanks enough!!!

The two polishes I am sharing today are both from the Models Own Beetlejuice Collection Fall 2012.  There was a lot of buzz when this collection came out and many bloggers raced to get their hands on these polishes.  After playing with these two I completely understand why.

Aqua Violet is a gorgeous polish that changes from aqua to violet depending how the light hits it.  I applied 3 coats, no base or top coat.

Next is Purple Blue.  This polish reminds me so much of Nails Inc. New Burlington Road.  Its not that it is the same color, it's more of the finish and color change.  Purple Blue is packed with glass flecks that change to so many different colors.  It's just beautiful!
No base or top coat, 2 coats.

There are some downsides to Models Own polishes.  I have yet to use a Models Own that doesn't have a horrible brush, they are just hard to use, which makes application difficult.  Also, these polishes stink!  I have never had a polish reek as bad as Models Own.  With that said, I still love these polishes.  Models Own comes up with some beautiful colors!

  1. Great job on your Aqua Violet photo. I had such a hard time capturing all of the holo effect. Very nice swatches:)

  3. Oooh I have those same polishes in my untried pile, and I will have to try them soon! They look beautiful on you! :-)
I think part of the reason they smell bad is that they aren't 3-free.
