Tip Top Nails

Awhile back I was contacted by the very sweet Joan from Tip Top Nails South Africa.  At first, she very nicely asked me to promote their page on my page and she would do the same.  I really wanted to know more about the company before I promoted them and she agreed to send me some samples to try.  This was a couple months ago, sorry Joan, but some other bloggers had reviewed the polish and I wanted to wait, plus these challenges are killing my swatching time!

Joan sent me 4 polishes to try, a base coat, 2 polishes and a glitter.  I will be sharing all but the base coat, so be prepared for lots of pictures.

First up is Pot-O-Berries.  This really is a gorgeous berry color.  The application was smooth and I had perfect coverage in 1 coat but I decided to apply 2.  No base or top coat.

Next I added 1 coat of the glitter, Rocky Road.  With this glitter you get a mixture of small, medium and large color shifting hex glitter.  The glitter was easy to apply.  It is more of a top coat glitter.

Next up is Armourplate.  This is a silver metallic polish.  I am not a huge fan of silver, but this really is a nice polish.  I did have some bald spots with 1 coat so I added another one.  You do need to be careful with the application because of brush strokes but overall I was very impressed. No base or top coat.

I have been using their Miracle Base Coat on and off but have not seen any significant change in my nails.  I really need to give it a better chance, I think once the challenges are done and I'm not changing my polish every day.

I really think that Tip Top has a great product.  Unfortunately, this polish is only available in South Africa.  Boo Hoo.  I do recommend checking out their Facebook page, lots of fun information and contests.

  2. I won one of the contest they had a few months ago and Pot o Berries was in the prize pack she sent. I love love love it. She also sent 2 glitters and I have yet to have a chance to use them but I did a few nails on my wheel just to see what they looked like and they were stunning as well. It is so disappointing that they are only available in S Africa. I would buy it. :)
