butter LONDON Gobsmacked and Lovely Jubbly

Today I have the last 2 Fall 2012 butter LONDONs and I think I saved the best for last!

First is Gobsmacked.  Gobsmacked is described as "a heavily pigmented charcoal grey glitter with a slightly textured finish."  If you are "gobsmacked" you are "totally speechless, unable to think of anything to say."

Initially, this polish reminded me of The Black Knight.  It has the black glitter minus the color, plus it has that gritty look.  This polish isn't about flashes of color or sparkle, it is purely about the texture, and I think it is awesome!  The application of this polish was so easy.  There was no bunching glitter. If you want complete opacity I would suggest 3 coats or even a base color.  I applied 2 coats, except for my index finger, so you could see the difference.

In this first picture I blurred it so that you can see that it has a very slight sparkle to it.

I added 2 coats of HK Girl in order to show this gorgeous polish all shiny and smooth.  This polish will suck up the top coat.  After some settling, my nails started to feel gritty, so make sure you use a nice thick top coat.

The last polish is Lovely Jubbly. (This is my favorite name!)  Lovely Jubbly is described as "a vibrant magenta flecked with red, blue and gold micro particles."  "Lovely Jubbly" is "Brit speak for "Excellent." Used when a person hears pleasing news or has a stroke of good luck."

This is, hands down, my favorite polish of the collection.  It is just simply gorgeous and so unique!  Absolutely no trouble with the application.  I applied 2 coats, except for my middle finger so you can see the difference.  This is also a gritty polish, which makes it about the texture not the sparkle.  As with Gobsmacked, if you want full opacity I would suggest 3 coats or a base color.  I think this would look awesome with Brummie.

I added 2 coats of HK Girl to my index finger, so you can see it all nice and shiny.  Also a top coat eater!

Between the holos and the glitters, I think butter LONDON has a hit with their Fall Collection.  But it really is the glitters that make this collection so interesting!

You can purchase all of these polishes at butter LONDON or you can head over to Macy's and get the Macy's Exclusive colors too! (Sorry, being an enabler!)

  1. Both are absolutely gorgeous!! I love how you showed the progression of the layers, I love them because hese glitters would be great layered or on their own.

  2. Gobsmacked reminds me of the charcoal coloured Milani one coat glitter. But finer.

  3. Lovely Jubbly is my favorite of the two! I would enjoy using it as a great accent nail or using it with some tape designs :)
