Summer Challenge: Day 46 - Deckchairs

I came up with the neatest idea for this challenge.  At first I was just going to do green and white stripes, to represent the fabric of a deckchair, but I didn't like the way it turned out.  I started looking through my stamping plates for ideas and found it in my new set!

I started with 1 coat of OPI A-Taupe The Space Needle.  I didn't want full coverage just some color.

I created my design using BM309 and OPI Get in the Expresso Lane.

The end result is my wooden deckchair!  I had decided to matte-ify the design, but my Essie Matte polish has gone lumpy and ended up ruining my design. I was so happy with the design I didn't want to toss it out and start over, so no top coat. But it still looks pretty cool! :)

  3. blog suggestion- for those on mobiles that only see the first pic, MAYBE you could put one picture of the completed mani first- that would represent your post better? just an idea...

  7. I really like your different takes on these designs. I never would have thought of a wooden finish - I would have pulled my hair out because I would have been thinking that there's no way that I can draw a deck chair! :D
