Summer Challenge: Day 49 - A Day At The Seaside

I could have gone the predictable way with this design, pretty beach scene, but I decided to do something completely different.  I have done a lot of beach scenes this summer and I didn't want to regurgitate the same design.  So instead of a nice, peaceful beach scene I am giving you the Jersey Seaside!

I do have to say that I really don't like Jersey Shore.  I was pulled in at the beginning because of the pure stupidity of the show, but it really disgusts me that my students look up to these people! Where have all the good role models gone???

With that said, I present my Jersey Seaside nails.

I wanted something glittery in the design, so I started with 2 coats of butter LONDON Dodgy Barnett.

For my animal print, truly Jersey Shore, I used BM223 and Essence Black is Back. I also topped it off with 1 coat of HK Girl.

I LOVE the way these turned out, and the fact that I didn't do the typical beach design!  I also want to say that I mean no offence to any of those living in Jersey, just the cast members of Jersey Shore.

  3. They look cool, but I don't understand the interpretation. Perhaps because I don't know the show you're talking about :)

  4. Hey, I just wanted to let you know I really love your blog and nail art, but I have a suggestion for your layout. Since I tend to open a bunch of blogs at once, and skim to see if each has a new post, I would be more likely to read your posts if the followers bar wasn't at the top, blocking the post and title.

    Just a suggestion! :)
