Milani Fashion Nail Trends Project - Glamazon

At the beginning of the month I was contacted by Milani about a nail project they were working on and, of course, I was totally up for the challenge!  All I had to do was create 4 manis based on the following Fashion Trends; Glamazon, Gilded Rebel, Colorblock and Haute Rod, and use only their polishes.  Some were easier than others to come up with designs.  Glamazon was one of the tough ones.

There are a few different definitions for Glamazon.  I decided to go with someone that is all about fashion.  I thought about someone that thinks outside the box with fashion, or who is always ahead of the trends.  These are the people who wear the outrageous outfits but people can't stop talking about them!

I thought the best way to show this was to use colors you wouldn't normally put together.

I started with 2 coats of Totally 80s, an bright, neon green.

I kind of skipped a step in taking pictures so you won't see the bottom glitter on its own.  I sponged Red Sparkle first and then added Hot Pink.  I love the contrast between all the colors! It just looks completely outrageous!
I also added the glitter at an angel instead of across the tips.  It is topped off with 2 coats of Milani Top Coat.

I probably would have never put these colors together if I wasn't doing this project.  I think that it is such an interesting look and it makes me wonder what other colors I can put together.

Check out what all the other contributors came up with:

  1. i love the glitter accent that you did! although idk how you did it! im usually having trouble scooping out one glitter polish alone--i dont know how i can combine one properly like that!

  2. These colors are really cool together! I like the combo.

  3. Katee I love the fall blog background :)

  4. love the combo, that glitter is amazing! :D
