Digit-al Dozen Does: Halloween - Camo

I have another design that looks complicated but is actually very easy!
A couple weeks ago a fabulous blogger created a tutorial on how to do camo nails.  I had done camo nails last year for hunting season, but I used a stamp.  This tutorial created by datyorkLOVES is so simple and easy to recreate, just check it out!
I just had to do a Halloween camo pattern!

I started with 2 coats of Milani White on the Spot.

To create my camo, I used a dotting tool.  I found that this was easier to control than a brush.  My first color is Milani Jiffy Orange.

Second color, OPI Chop-Sticking To My Story.

Third color, Milani Black Swift.

My last color is OPI Funky Dunkey.

I topped it off with 1 coat of HK Girl and 1 coat of BL Hardwear.

I don't know if I am completely sold on this design, but it is growing on me.  I can't wait to try it with some other colors.....ooooo, Christmas camo!

  11. Using the dotting tool was a great idea. I did a traditional camo look on just an accent finger once. I used the brushes that came with the polish, not easy to control the splotches at all. I also tended to overthink the placement. Think I'll have to try it again on all fingers. Also, great alternative for a Halloween mani.
