I have been wanting to try this design since I first saw it! I kind of held off until now because I knew I wanted to do Witch's Ruffles for this challenge.
Okay, I can hear you...how is this easy??? It really is! All you need is a dotting tool, either purchased or homemade. The look is achieved by creating a line of dots across your nail. That's it! Your line doesn't even have to be straight or your dots the same size. It still looks good!
I started with 2 coats of Orly Decades of Dysfunction.
I used 8 polishes to create my ruffles, so I didn't take pictures for each color. That would have taken forever! Instead I will list them in order from base to tip.
OPI hi, Pumpkin, Revlon Hazy, China Glaze Roguish Red, China Glaze Concrete Catwalk, OPI Funkey Dunkey, OPI Chop-Sticking To My Story, Milani Black Swift and Milani Jiffy Orange
I topped it off with 1 coat of HK Girl and 1 coat of BL Hardwear.
If I was a witch I would totally wear this under my skirt!
Ou This looks Great!
ReplyDeleteCant believe it's actually that easy!
This is so cute! It's a feminine, fun way to wear Halloween on your nails without looking childish or over-the-top. Perfect!
ReplyDeletePlus, I love that the lines don't have to be perfectly straight. They kind of look better when they zig-zag just a tad. Even *I* might try something like this... Maybe. :)
