What I Wore for Halloween - Whimsical Ideas by Pam Wicked and Some Drip Art

For my last Halloween design, I am sharing what I am actually wearing for Halloween!

For work I decided to do a subtle witch costume, black with orange/black stripped socks.  I knew that I wanted to do something fun and witchy with my nails.  I recently purchased a few polishes from Whimsical Ideas by Pam and knew I had to use one of them, Wicked.

Wicked, named for the Broadway show, is a very shear, shimmery green polish with the awesome-est glitter I have ever seen!

Because Wicked is so sheer, I decided to layer it over Sinful Colors Innocent.

Next, I attempted 2 coats of Wicked.  I am sorry to say this, but getting the glitter out of the bottle and stationary was impossible.   I had of go fishing and place the glitter where I wanted it.  Kind of disappointing, but the large black circles are really cool!

I went back and added a drip effect, like my witch was making potions.  I used a large dotting tool and Milani Black Swift. I also added I coat of HK Girl.

I felt that my nails should glow in the dark, so I added China Glaze Gloulish Glow.

It didn't work out the way I wanted it to! As you can see, no glow!

Other than the glow not working, I really like the design.

Happy Halloween Everyone!  Don't eat all your candy in one night!

  1. Great mani!
    love it!
too bad you had problems with getting the glitters out of wicked.xx

  2. Love! They kind of look like Frankensteins! :)

  3. The drips really make this awesome.

  4. I had that same problem with the China Glaze Glow in the Dark polish, it would glow in the bottle but then if I got it on my nails, there would be no glow! I wonder what is wroung with it!

  5. Sorry to hear you had trouble with the 'Wicked' formula (and not just because it's one of my biggest lemmings EVER ;p), but your result looks great!! It's colourful, cute, and just the tiniest bit creepy--perfect for Halloween! ^_^

  6. They look great and even sort of look like frankenstein heads with the drips being his hair! :)

  7. I agree with Lindsey! It's like instant Frankensteins!
