Zoya Ornate Winter Collection Swatches/Review

A few weeks ago, Zoya released their new winter collection.  There are some real beauties in the collection and I am very excited to share them with you!

First some press information:
Add dazzle to your nails this holiday winter season with the Zoya Ornate Nail Polish Collection, a combination of six liquid metals (foil finish), one silver holographic / bar glitter and three holographic crystal beauties. Each with a dynamic, long-wearing, toxin-free personality of her own. Perfect when paired together to create modern French manicures as seen during the runway shows of fashion week.

Ziv
Zoya Nail Polish in Ziv can be best described as a full coverage, yellow-toned metallic gold foil with silver highlights and warm gold flake glitter accents.

When I put this on my first thought was that it was a very gritty, foil but it actually has a gorgeous gold glitter mixed in!
2 coats, no top or base coat

Electra
Zoya Nail Polish in Electra can be best described as a micro fine diamond holographic glitter mixed with large silver holographic bar tinsel in a clear base.

I am not a fan of this glitter.  It was a pain to work with.  The base was very thick and I did not like how it applied.
1 coat, no top coat.

Logan
Zoya Nail Polish in Logan can be best described as a full coverage, yellow-toned forest green with dense, foil-like yellow-gold and blue-green duochrome shimmer! Rich color, a sparkling finish and a subtle duochrome effect make this green very special.

A dark green jelly base, forest green with gold shimmer, that would be perfect with any Christmas outfit.  I did have some bald spots with 2 coats.  I recommend 3 or allow some dry time between each coat.
2 coats, no top or base coat.

Storm
Zoya Nail Polish in Storm can be best described as a full coverage, holiday black with a high concentration of micro fine diamond holographic glitter.

This is yummy black goodness!  A squishy, black holo that shines like the night sky!
3 coats, no base or top coat

Blaze
Zoya Nail Polish in Blaze can be best described as a full coverage, cool-toned medium mulberry red with a high concentration of micro fine diamond holographic glitter. The multidimensional holographic glitter adds complexity and depth to this vampy red.

I am in LOVE with this polish! It is my favorite polish in the collection!  I called it a cranberry jelly, but Zoya says mulberry.  Simply stunning!
3 coats, no base or top coat.

Aurora
Zoya Nail Polish in Aurora can be best described as a full coverage, medium sugarplum purple flecked with a high concentration of micro fine diamond holographic glitter. The rainbow holographic sparkle turns this plum purple into something truly captivating.

My second favorite in the collection, tied with Storm.  A gorgeous purple jelly packed with holo goodness!
3 coats, no base or top coat.

For some reason I felt it was necessary to compare Electra to OPI Save Me.  They really are 2 different polishes, but in my opinion, Save Me is much better!
Save Me is on my ring and index fingers.

I have to say that the winners in this collection are Blaze, Aurora and Storm.  They are all stunning jellies that pack the holo punch!  They would be the perfect collection to add to any holiday outfit!

  3. I have a really important nail situation!! My school is having a Harvest FEstival this weekend and I need to do my nails to match my top. The top is berry and blue floral design with gray background and a lighter gray lace back. The polish colors I have to match are: white, berry, a kind of berry (more pink) sparkly, silver and blue. I wanted to do my ring finger different, too. How should I do my nails ?!!!!

    2. My first thought is to use the grey as your base color, then do a gradient using the silver and blue. The berry color could be your accent finger. I wouldn't do dots because the top has flowers. I think a gradient is the way to go. Hope this was helpful.
