FIA Challenge: Day 13 - Fall Flair and Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I decided to combine my last Fall Into Autumn Challenge with Thanksgiving.  I knew I wanted to do a special turkey design for today and it seemed perfect to add some Fall Flair to it!

The inspiration for my design came from an image that I found on Google.  It is actually part of an article from Nail Pro. I love how the feathers look and the bling!  Plus I knew that I could use the cloud technique to create the feathers.

I started with 2 coats of OPI DS Classic, stunning!

First layer of feathers, Essie Little Brown Dress.

Second, Zoya Ziv.

Third, Zoya Rekha.

Fourth, Nailtini Sidecar.

Fifth, Shimmer Tracy.

And topped it all off with 2 coats of HK Girl.

My turkey has got it going on!  I love the sparkle with this design! I was going to add a turkey stamp but I thought it would ruin the effect of the turkey feathers.

I thought I would share the upcoming Winter Challenge! We will be starting the challenge December 1 and it will run until March.  There are some awesome design ideas with this challenge and I am so excited to start!

  7. That was such a good idea to use the cloud technique for turkey feathers. I was thinking of doing a turkey mani, but wasn't up to the challenges of the feathers, this is a great easy way :)
