365 Days of Color Trimming the Tree

I have been meaning to re-swatch 365 Days of Color's Holiday Collection and I have finally gotten around to it.  When I originally did the swatches, I kept saying how I needed to try layering them over base colors.  I am starting with Trimming the Tree.

To jog your memory, here is what Trimming the Tree looks like without a base color.  This is 3 coats.

It really is quite beautiful on its own!

I chose L'OREAL Hyde Park as my base color. This is 2 coats.

And the bottle shot! :)

I added 1 coat of Trimming the Tree.

It really gives it a nice deep color and I love the rubber finish!

I thought that I would trim the tree!
I used Essie Good as Gold and the limited edition plate from Bundle Monster BMSE1.
Also, 2 coats of HK Girl.

So which way do you like it?

I think it looks great both ways.  I love the squishy jelly look alone and I love the deep green with the base.  Trimming the Tree is just awesome however you wear it!  And remember, it is scented.  I have been wearing it all day, made dinner, washed dishes, washed my hands numerous times, and the scent is still quite strong.  Like little Christmas Trees on my nails! :)
