Prints on Prints for Forerunners Fashion Magazine

A couple months ago I was approached by the lovely Ines and Ylenia to create a look for their fashion magazine Forerunners.  I loved what they were doing so of course I said yes!

This month's issue was all about Prints on Prints.  Doesn't that just sound cool!  I felt really challenged to come up with something great and I think I achieved that.

I started with 1 coat of Milani White on the Spot.

For the first print I used OPI Road House Blues and BM19. I also added 1 coat of HK Girl to speed up dry time for the next step.

I taped off a top section and added Barry M Raspberry, except for my pinky, I used OPI Kiss Me On My Tulips.

For my second print I used White on the Spot and BM315.

And I topped it all off with 2 coats of HK Girl.

This design is so freaking cool!!!  I am so proud of this design!

  5. You should be proud: this is fantastic!

It reminds me of picnics, for some reason. It looks a bit like a blanket with a patterned boarder. It's so cheerful and bright, but not ostentatious.
