I was so excited about today's challenge. This was the one challenge I was really looking forward to last year, but I got so sick and never got around to doing it. And now that I have mastered the art of striping tape, my presents are just what I wanted!
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze Angel Wings and Glistening Snow. I have to thank the totally awesome Frosso, Lacquer Me Silly, for these polishes! I won her blogiversary giveaway and these two polishes were part of the winnings. I also won a custom Hits Polish glitter, which is so cool! More on that later!
I added a coat of HK Girl, to speed up the dry time for taping. I have to say though, that these polishes suck up the top coat. After a couple minutes it was like I hadn't put anything on them!
I took out my striping tape, taped off my nails and added China Glaze Velvet Bow and Glittering Garland.
I wanted to add a bow but I didn't want it to be the typical bow. I remembered a flower stamp that I had used for another challenge and thought that it would be perfect!
I used SH212 and Essie Penny Talk. It looks like one of the big, fluffy bows.
So sparkly! I think I would be very happy to get a present like this on Christmas morning!
These came out so pretty! I love the flower/bow idea :)
