This month's installment of Digital Dozen is all about Art! Such an awesome idea but also hard. It is difficult to try and recreate some of the most beautiful artwork on your nails! Because of this, I gravitated towards piece of art that I could recreate. Let's see how I do!
Today's inspiration comes from Monet and his painting Irises.
Just like my Ombre from earlier today, I was able to use all Barry M polishes to complete this look!
I started with 2 coats of Blue Plum. A gorgeous and yummy blue!
This took a lot of steps and I didn't take pictures of each one, but I think you can get the idea.
I used Cobalt Blue, Turquoise, Blue Plum and a nail art brush to create the stems and grass. Then I used the same brush, Matt White and Lemon Ice Cream to create the flowers.
Seeing that the painting is all about the texture and brush strokes, I did not add a top coat.
I think these turned out GREAT! I love the design and the irises! At least I am starting out okay! :)
Beautiful work!
