China Flowers

A few weeks ago I picked up China Glaze Dandy Lyin' Around and Keep Calm, Paint On from the Avant Garden Collection.  I kept meaning to use them but other polish got in the way!  I finally took them out of the Helmer and did some free hand art!

I started with a base of Dandy Lyin' Around, which I applied two coats.  If I was wearing this alone, I probably would have added another coat.

I love the shimmer in this white! Beautiful!

Using my striping brush, I added some stems to each nail using Keep Calm, Paint On.

Using a small dotting tool and Strawberry Fields, I added petals to each stem.

I added a dot of Trendsetter to each flower and some random dotting around the flowers using Strawberry Fields and Keep Calm, Paint On.

This turned out so much better than I thought it would!  It wasn't even the idea I started it.  It kind of evolved  as I was going!

Nothing like some beautiful spring flowers on my nails to match the flowers that are popping up all over the place!  Also, this proves the fact that freehand flowers are an easy technique that anyone can do!
