Digit-al Dozen Does: Books - P.S. I Love You

I think a lot of people will be familiar with my book for today because of the movie!

Today's book is P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern.

From Goodreads:
Holly couldn't live without her husband Gerry, until the day she had to. They were the kind of young couple who could finish each other's sentences. When Gerry succumbs to a terminal illness and dies, 30-year-old Holly is set adrift, unable to pick up the pieces. But with the help of a series of letters her husband left her before he died and a little nudging from an eccentric assortment of family and friends, she learns to laugh, overcome her fears, and discover a world she never knew existed.

One of my favorite genres is British Chic Lit.  I love the dry sense of humor that I find in these books and a few years back I discovered Cecelia Ahern.  Of course she isn't British, she's Irish, but still the humor is there!  This was the first book that I actually had a physical response to.  One minute I would be laughing my head off and the next I was crying.  If you saw the movie but didn't read the book you missed out! Don't get me wrong..I loved the movie, but there is so much more to the story that is only found in the book.

I started my design with two coats of Models Own Beth's Blue.

I added my dots using NYC French White.  I also added an accent design using Milani White on the Spot and CH35.  I felt this image really captured the story.

I added a love letter to the other nails using White on the Spot and GA15. need to read this book!  And the rest of Cecelia Ahern's books, she is amazing!

  3. What a gorgeous mani! I read the book before I saw the movie and was SO glad I did :) Both were great though!

  4. Pretty design! It has such a tranquil feeling, I love it! I didn't realize P.S. I Love You was a book. A few people recommended the movie to me and I've never watched it. This is the second book I'm going to check out tomorrow at the library because of you. I'm really enjoying your book challenges. Great job!

  5. LOVE PS I LOVE YOU! One of my favorite reads - love this!

  6. Love your mani...that movie made me cry harder and longer than any movie I've ever seen...not sure I could make it through the book! :)

  7. Your mani is gorgeous! The movie makes me cry too but mostly because of Gerard Butler's awful Irish accent and the fact that the big package Holly sends to Ireland only has a half an address on it (that part drives me mad!) but I do love the movie a lot. I just finished her book 'One Hundred Names' - it wasn't as romantic or funny as this one but it was pretty good! x

  8. I didn't realize the movie was based on a book!! I'll have to check out the novel. I love your mani; I can't believe you found an image that so perfectly summarizes the book for your accent nail! Beautiful!

  9. You've captured the book perfectly. And you're right - Ahearn is a great author.

  10. Gorgeous mani! I've only seen the movie but it made me cry enough I don't want to cry anymore with a book too!

  11. These are gorgeous. I love the stamping over the polka dots.
