Digit-al Dozen Does: Tape Manis - Blue Stripes

For today's mani I am using some special polishes.  The reason they are special is because they were a gift from one of good nail friends, Stephanie of A Little Polish.  While she was visiting Brussels she picked me up two OH MY GOSH polishes as a surprise!  She's such a sweetie!

For my design I started with two coats of Baby Blue. A beautiful soft blue.

Next, I had to add all my tape...lots of tape!

Once the tape was on, I used my eye shadow applicator and sponged Blue Turquoise to the base and GOSH Ocean to the tips.

I love the shimmer of Ocean on the tips!

I love how this turned out!  These blues go together perfectly!  Love me some GOSH polish!

  2. So pretty! What kind of eyeshadow sponge do you use? I bought some at Walmart awhile ago, the sponge part is black, and they just completely soak up the polish! I could barely get any to transfer to my nail.

    1. I use cheap ones. I bought my first pack at Dollar General and this last pack I picked up at CVS. Typically the cheapest ones I can find! :)

  3. I love it too! I'm always happy to see photos of the mani in progress! I'm always too afraid I'll screw my mani up if I stop to take pics. :)

  4. Beautiful. I must get the courage to try these tape manis out. I have the tape. Just not the nerve. I hate wasting supplies and I don't want to screw this up. Too many pieces of tape and too many chances for ruin. This is really cute though and I love the colors you used!

  6. Oh so lovely! And it could be used in so many ways with different colors. My mind immediately jumps to a fall mani done with grey and black, like a pinstripe suit. I struggled with tape manis until I realized that the tape would fit on a regular tape dispenser. Always lost the end, which is a real pain in the tookus.

  7. I really need to start saving eyeshadow applicators, I always throw them out and then I never have one when I need to do gradient! I've never tried gradient and tape together, it looks gorgeous x

  10. Whoa, that's a lot of tape! But the result is very worthwhile.
