The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents: Flowers - Daisies

The Nail Challenge Collaborative theme for the month of July is Flowers.  A nice easy, low stress theme!  I really can't wait to see what the ladies will create with this one!  I am going to try and come up with some fun and different designs, fingers crossed that I can pull them off!

My first design was inspired by a recent polish purchase.  A couple weekends ago I picked up my first Spa Ritual polishes.  I saw them sitting on the shelf and knew they had to be mine!  The shades were totally me and they looked beautiful together.

I started with two coats of Introspective, a lovely, soft and shimmery sage green. The formula was a tad thin and if I was wearing it alone I would have added a third coat.

Just look at that shimmer! Gorgeous!

I added my flowers using Peace & Harmony and a dotting tool.  I used a striping brush on my ring finger.

Lastly, I added my centers using Transcend and a dottng tool.

My flowers didn't turn out exactly like I wanted.  I have wonky daisies, but they still look interesting.  When it comes to freehanding flowers you really can't go that wrong.  I think I still need to work on this skill though!
I love the shimmers in these polishes! They are all so pretty.  I am worried about the formula for Peace & Harmony and Transcend,  they both seem like many coaters.  I'll save that for another day!

  9. That green background is so pretty! I'm not a huge green fan, but these sage-y greens are my favorite and are just too pretty to pass up. Very cute!
