The Digit-al Dozen Does: Texture - Spring Flowers

Yesterday I kept it nice and easy.  A simple manicure that you can do at home.  Today I decided to step it up with a textured floral design.  I went through every step, actually remembered to stop and take pictures, in order to show you that there is nothing to be afraid of when using your dotting tools.  For me, they are the easiest way to create flowers, other than stamping!    I also used all Milani textures in this design.

I started with a base of Lovely Lavender, one coat.

I added my first set of flowers using a large dotting tool and Purple Streak.

I used the same dotting tool and Spoiled in Fuchsia to add my second set of flowers.

I used Yellow Mark and a small dotting tool to add the centers to my flowers.

Lastly, I added some "leaves" using my smallest dotting tool and Gracious Green.

Remember you can always vary the size of your flowers by changing the size of your dotting tool.  Overall, it is a fun, bright manicure that feels like Spring, which is perfect on a cold day like today! What the heck happened to Spring!?!?!?

  1. Such cheerful looking flowers!

  2. This is gorgeous! I love what you did!

  3. Love all the texture on texture! We got dumped with snow today; I have a feeling spring is never going to get here!

  4. Adorable! I love how that yellow really pops!

  5. I had a design super similar to this planned, and I'm glad I didn't post it because yours definitely put me to shame :)

  6. these are super cute flowers!
