The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents: Skittles - Abstract Floral

It is time to get back to the NCC! I was having some trouble finding inspiration for today's design.  Actually I am just having a hard time finding inspiration period.  I have the motivation I just lack the creativity right now. Nail art block! Blah!

Today's design changed a lot while during the planning stage.  I knew I wanted to use my new Catrice neons, I just wasn't sure how.  In the end I skipped the stamping I planned and decided to try some freehand.

I started with two coats of Catrice Snow Motion.

I used an eye shadow applicator to randomly add my neons.  From thumb to pinky - Catrice ACid DC, Mrs. Brightside, On the Brightside of Life, Bright, Brighter and Brightest and Little Miss Sunshine.

I added my abstract flowers using London's Weather Forecast and a nail art brush.

I added some dots using my new KBShimmer holos, In Bare Form and Stark Raven Mad.

I love the colors in this design but I'm not sure about the rest.  I love the flowers on my index and thumb but the others.....hmmm.  It is a fun design but my execution is not as good as I would like.  Maybe I am being too hard on myself.

  1. I think they're super cute! Love the muted and neon together. I know I am my own worst critic and most things I don't like, other folks do. :) Maybe after a little time has passed, you'll look back on them more favorably.
