Today's design originated from my love of tulips. Tulips are my second favorite flower. My favorite part of Spring is when the tulips start growing. I love driving around and seeing all the different colors growing in people's gardens. Building on this love I was able to create my design using a new technique that I have been wanting to try for awhile.
Day Two - Holland - Tulips
My design started with two coats of Bettina Marshmallow.
I added the outline of my tulips using MoYou Pro 08 and Onix.
Now for the fun part! I have been wanting to try this technique since I first saw it and I am not disappointed!
I used a small nail art brush to add color to my design. It was just like coloring a picture.
I used Sinful Colors Irish Green for my leaves.
For the tulips I used OPI Sheer Tints. I did go back over each color to really make them pop.
I am loving my tulips! They feel and look like Spring! I can't wait to use this technique again!
This is super cute!! The more I see these "leadlight" manis, the more I want to get the OPI Sheer Tints and try it myself.
ReplyDeleteThese look gorgeous! I just love the color to them. Wonderful job.
ReplyDeleteFabulous leadlighting...takes stamping to a whole other level!
ReplyDeleteI love this technique. I have only tried it once, but it was super easy. This is such a pretty mani. It makes me think of Easter because that is when the tulips are in full bloom.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you did this ON your nail! There's no way mine would look that good!
