The Digit-al Dozen Does: Winter Wonderland - Snow Covered Forest

Today's design is all about the beauty of a snow covered forest.  I love images of trees covered in snow and seeing them in person.  For me, it has always had this magical feel.
Today's design is inspired by The Nail Network's Snowy Winter Tree Art.  I have been wanting to try this design since I first saw it.  I cheated a little in my creation, but it was cheat or stress out about the design! No point in stressing!

My base is two coats of You're So Vain-Illa.

I knew I would stress about the trees, so I used the tree image from Cheeky Jumbo Plate 06.  Applying it with Angel with a Leadfoot left the "snow" white and the perfect images to trace.

I used a thin nail art brush to trace my trees with Cointreau-Versial Chocolate.  I wasn't too worried about them being perfect. I knew I could cover the mistakes with some snow!

I added my snow using Angel with a Leadfoot and a small nail art brush.  Not only did I add it to the trees, I also built up the snow drifts around the trunks.  I also added to the snowflakes with a small dotting tool.

To really make it special I added a coat of Sonnetarium Snowfall.  Which made my design perfect!

  9. This is really cute. You make it look so easy! I love that you chose a neutral base as well rather than a blue one which seems more the predominant choice.
