Right before the end of the year I finished a huge pile of reviews. I had been working on some of them since the beginning of Summer. Starting in January I began feeling like I could finally return to doing the random nail art that I loved so much. For a few days I felt great. I had some great ideas and I decided to go back and take a closer look at some of the stamping plates I had been sent. Hence the recent reviews. Unfortunately, that initial feeling of freedom quickly turned into NAIL ART BLOCK! Either I can't come up with ideas or I hate the ones I create. I am hoping this passes and I will be able to come up with some great designs. Fingers-crossed!
So the point of that rant......
Today's design falls into the category of "It seemed like a good idea and then I put it on my nails".
I started with two coats of Mustard. How could I go wrong with one of my favorite shades?!
I was in the mood for zig zags, so why not use MoYou London Fashionista 05 and a fantastic green like Cardamon. I had a little sliding with the image, but that was okay because I knew I was going to add another image.
This is probably where things really started to look off to me. I wanted to use the flower image that is on my pinky but I was concerned it wouldn't show up that well. I tried stamping it first with Chilli and then Espresso. It just still didn't see that it would look right. I scanned some more plates for another floral image with more coverage. I couldn't decide and ended up with one from MoYou London Pro 06. I applied it with Chilli. I wasn't feeling it.
In an attempt to make it more interesting I added some Espresso dots. It helped a little but I still wasn't thinking I created a masterpiece.
It does have an interesting retro, shabby chic look to it but it's not my best work.
What do you think?
well I love the bonkerness of it and how colourful it is - great to see something so bright on your nails xx
