OPI Hawaii Collection Swatches/Review/Nail Art

Press Sample

Today I have my review of the new OPI Hawaii Collection.

Hawaii Collection by OPI brings the fresh, bright colors of its namesake islands to nails and toes for Spring/Summer 2015. This new collection features a palette ranging from muted tones of mint, peach, pink and nude to bolder hues of coral, green, purple and gold to deep tones of mauve, violet, brick red and shimmery blue.
Hawaii Collection by OPI includes the following shades in both nail lacquer and GelColor formulas:
·        That’s Hula-rious!
·        My Gecko Does Tricks
·        Do You Take Lei Away?
·        Is Mai Tai Crooked?
·        Go with the Lava Flow
·        Aloha from OPI
·        Suzi Shops & Island Hops
·        Just Lanai-ing Around
·        Hello Hawaii Ya?
·        This Color’s Making Waves
·        Lost My Bikini In Molokini
·        Pineapples Have Peelings Too!

That's Hula-rious! - bright pastel green.  I LOVE this shade!  Coverage was fantastic in two coats.

Is Mai Tai Crooked? - a brilliant, muted orange.  I applied two coats and found it to be a tad streaky.  Awesome color!

My Gecko Does Tricks - pretty green shimmer.  I applied two coats and still had VNL, so I applied a third.

Go With the Lava Flow - described as a golden red but every time I looked at it, it changed tone.  It is a very interesting shade and a great color.  I applied two coats.

Do You Take Lei Away? - perfect soft nude.  I applied two flawless coats.

Aloha From OPI - bright, creamy coral.  I applied two great coats.

Suzi Shops and Island Hops - bubble gum pink.  It was thin and streaky in two coats.  I added a third.

This Color's Making Waves - gorgeous duochrome with copper flecks.  I LOVE this lacquer! The formula is a tad thin.  You can get away with two coats but I applied a third.

Just Lanai-ing Around - beautiful color of the year - mauve.  I noticed a subtle shimmer however it is not in the official description.  Great coverage in two coats.

Lost My Bikini In Molokini - perfect purple, however I lost it in the photos.  I could not capture this color in the photos!  You really need to see it in person.  Another perfect two coater.

Hello Hawaii Ya? - soft and dusty purple.  Another fabulous shade.  I applied two coats.

Pineapples Have Peelings Too! - fun glitter mix in a yellow/gold base.  I had a hard time getting the larger hexes out of the bottle and on my nails.  I did only apply two coats so maybe another one would have give me more.  I am going to have some fun with this one. Can you say Summer nail art??

I used most of these lacquers to create this floral manicure.

Hawaii nail lacquer shades each feature OPI’s exclusive ProWide™ Brush for the ultimate in application. Hawaii Collection by OPI will be available in both nail lacquer and GelColor formulas beginning February 4, 2015. Nail lacquers will retail for $9.50 ($11.50 CAN) each at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Chatters, Dillard’s, Regis, ULTA and ulta.com.

  2. Lovely swatches as always. The floral nail art is pretty especially with it concentrated on one area.

  3. Love the final mani. I've been looking at these polishes at work. Thinking I might have to get some after all! :)
