Press Sample

Today I have a selection of new OPI Infinite Shine lacquers to share.

OPI Infinite Shine Gel Effects Lacquer System, offers the rich color, intense shine and lasting wear of gels – without the need for LED-light curing or soak-off removal. Available in 30 new shades (plus Primer base coat and Gloss top coat), Infinite Shine utilizes a three-step system to deliver a high-shine classic crème finish for nails that lasts up to 10 days.

Infinite Shine includes a full range of fashion-forward shades ranging from neutrals to bright reds, oranges and pinks to dark gray, blue and black hues: Pretty Pink Perseveres, From Here to Eternity, She Went On and On and On, Girl Without Limits, Running with the In-finite Crowd, Endurance Race to the Finish, No Stopping Me Now, Unrepentantly Red, Unequivocally Crimson, Relentless Ruby, In Pursuit of Purple, Grapely Admired, Can’t Be Beet!, Raisin’ the Bar, We’re in the Black, Get Ryd-of-thym Blues, Indignantly Indigo, To Infinity & Blue-yond, Withstands the Test of Thyme, To the Finish Lime!, Maintaining My Sand-ity, Tanacious Spirit, Brains & Bronze, Set in Stone, Never Give Up!, Strong Coal-ition, Steel Waters Run Deep, Staying Neutral, It Never Ends and You Can Count on It.

Infinite Shine is applied via a three-step system; first, apply Infinite Shine Primer (Step 1) to prevent staining and increase lacquer durability. Next, select one of 30 shades (Step 2) and paint two thin, even coats for richly-pigmented, vivid color. Finally, finish with Infinite Shine Gloss (Step 3), which features a state-of-the-art gel polymer formula that cures in natural light. Product can be removed easily with Expert Touch Nail Lacquer Remover; no soaking is required.

It Never Ends - dark nude.  I applied two coats.  Coverage was perfect.

Unequivocally Crimson - classic red.  I applied two flawless coats.

Get Ryd-of-thym Blues - gorgeous navy blue.  You know I love this one!  I applied two perfect coats.

Pretty Pink Perseveres - soft, classic pink.  I found the formula streaky in two coats, so I added a third.

No Stopping Me Now - orange-y, coral.  Great shade but it was also a little streaky in two coats.  I added a third coat.

Maintaining My Sand-ity - perfect soft nude.  A classically, subtle neutral.  I applied two coats.

I used these shades to create this fun dotticure.  It has a very Fourth of July/American feel.

I wore the design for one week and the results were pretty good.  Especially since I was doing a lot of typing.  There is some tip wear but not anything that most people would notice.

I had much more wear on my dominant right hand.  There are a couple big chips on the corners.

Overall I was impressed with these shades.  The colors are beautiful.  I was a little disappointed with the formula.  I thought they would be more opaque.  Also the top coat smeared my nail art.  If you are looking for a long wear lacquer without using a gel polish the Infinite Shines are great!

Infinite Shine products feature a proprietary formula and each bottle includes OPI’s exclusive ProWide™ Brush for the ultimate in application. OPI Infinite Shine Gel Effects Lacquer System will be available March, 2015, at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, beautybrands.com, Chatters, Dillard’s, Regis, ULTA and ulta.com for $12.50 ($14.95 CAN) suggested retail for each nail lacquer.

  1. Nice nail art! I tested these last week and I was disappointed about their longevity on the nail. After 4 days I had a huge chipping, and at 5th day it was dreadful. Honestly, I don't think this would ever last 10 days on me :(

  2. Those are nice. Love the polka dot design on the tips too.

  3. Played around with them and used a normal OPI polish as the color. It still worked. So I bought the top and base coat to play with it some more! :)
