Guess who has master the art of roses?!?!?
I did my first rose manicure a couple weeks ago and now I want to put them everywhere! Roses are something that I have been waiting to try for awhile but never did. The first time I did them was for my Zoya Delight review. They are so easy to create!! The more I do them the better I get. All I think about now is what colors I want to mix to create unique roses. It's now an obsession!

ROSES ON ALL THE THINGS! (heehee)
I present my favorite rose design to date!
I started with two coats of Don't Bossa Nova Me Around.
I am still working on my vines and leaves so I cheated a little. I stamped them using UC1-01 and Christmas Gone Paid. This was my first time using an image from my UberChic plates. I was a little disappointed with the transfer. Part of the image didn't want pick up. My guess is that the etching is bad. Luckily the image is large and I was going to cover up most of it.
I used a large dotting tool to add the base of each rose. I don't know about you but I am all about bright colors right now. Bring on Spring! These colors are Where Did Suzi's Man-Go?, Can't Find My Czechbook and I Just Can't Cope-Acabana.
I used a very thin nail art brush to add the details to the roses. The brush is one I cut down awhile ago to make thin lines and it works perfectly. I used Live.Love.Carnaval, Incognito In Sausalito and Good Grief!.
I thought the design was missing something, so I went back and added some dots.
Once I added my top coat I lost the details on the yellow roses. If you look closely, you can see them.
I loved this design so much I wore it for almost a week. That's a record for me! Every time I looked at the bright roses I couldn't help but smile. Plus I got a lot of compliments. Compliments are the best when the design is freehanded! Now excuse while I go and do some more rose designs!
Aren't these ladies kicking butt this week?!?!?
Such fun and colorful nails. I really enjoy seeing each step to the nail art too.
ReplyDeleteTotal rosy perfection! Would love to see them matte - maybe it would bring back the detail on the yellow?
