The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents: Inspired by Fashion - Oscar de la Renta Spring/Summer 2015

Time for another fashion inspired manicure for The Nail Challenge Collaborative.  I actually sat down and created the rest of designs for this theme last week.  I was so inspired by my chosen fashion looks I couldn't wait to create them.  When the mojo is flowing there is no stopping it!  The bonus is that I really like all the designs I created.  Sometimes the end result doesn't always happen the way you want, but this time each one did.

I found my inspiration for today's design first.  I actually found it as I was looking for an album photo for the group.  As someone that loves gingham and plaid I knew I had to recreate it.  Today's design was inspired by the Spring/Summer 2015 Collection by Oscar de la Renta.

I started with a base of OPI Samoan Sand (an old black label sheer that I love) and Milani Spotlight White.

I created my lace using Milani Spotlight White and MoYou London Bridal 06.

The gingham was applied using Can't Find My Czechbook and MASH 50.

I wasn't sure what to do with my thumb so I did a lace-gingham combo.

I think this is pretty cool!  Czechbook matches perfectly to the coat.  I think this is the first time I stamped with it.  Won't be the last!

Don't miss the fabulous designs created by the NCC ladies!

  1. Your nails matches the inspiration perfectly. The plaid design is just spot on.

  2. The negative space design looks so delicate. This nail art is a perfect match to the outfit!

  3. Oh wow! These turned out perfect! Gorgeous!
