Nicole by OPI Coca Cola Collection Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Hey! Check me out! A full week of posts!  I think that break was what I needed.  I felt good about posting this week.  I wasn't stressed out about getting the posts done and actually enjoyed it.  I will consider that a good sign that I still enjoy blogging.  The feeling that I need to have followers and people commenting is slowly going away.  Not that I don't enjoy when people comment!  Right now I am just happy to share!

Today I am sharing my swatches of the new Nicole by OPI Coca Cola Collection.  This is a limited edition collection inspired, of course, by Coca Cola.  If you remember, last year OPI and Coca Cola also collaborated on a collection.  You can see my swatches here.  Being honest I liked the OPI collaboration better.  But I'll let you be the judge.

DC Lover - fine, silver and red glitter.  I got decent coverage in two coats, but I would rather use it as a glitter topper.  Fine glitters like this are perfect for gradients.

Always a Classic Coca-Cola - classic red.  I kept going back in forth on whether to call this finish metallic or shimmer.  Either way it is gorgeous.  Great coverage in two coats, just watch your brushstrokes.  Perfect formula for stamping.

Zero Is My Hero - stunning burgundy.  Dark and vampy with shimmer.  I applied two flawless coats.  Perfect color for Fall.

In Grape Demand - squishy, jelly-like purple.  I love this shade of purple! It is so bright and fresh.  It does have a jelly finish, but without the thinness.  I applied two smooth coats.

The Look is Orange - squishy, juicy orange.  This orange is brilliantly bright!  It is a tad thinner than I would like.  I applied two coats and still had VNL.  But as you can see from the image you have to get close to see it.

Seriously Citrus - green, white and blue glitter topper.  I applied one coat with fantastic results.  No pulling and dabbing wasn't necessary.

The colors in this collection are quite good, heck just look at that purple!  It is an interesting collaboration that offers something for everyone, from brights to darks.  The formulas are good as is the application.  I still think OPI created a better collection.  What do you think?

Discover the collection in the U.S. at select CVS, ULTA Beauty, Kmart, ShopKo, Harmon, and Giant Eagle locations in March 2015 for $6.99. Available in Canada at select Walmart and Jean Coutu locations for $10.99.

  1. That glitter at the end is pretty. I don't much green ones.
