The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents: 3rd Anniversary - Recreate Member Design

I am running a little late on my NCC posts this month.  Between slowing down on my posting and DD week, things are posting later than I had anticipated.  But I guess it doesn't really matter as long as I get them up before the end of the month!  Got to remember my whole new no pressure attitude!

This month The Nail Challenge Collaborative is celebrating it's Third Anniversary!  It makes me so happy that this group is still going.  We have gone through some changes, lost some members and added some members. But we keep going strong!  I love this group because there really isn't any pressure or stress.  I get to play around with designs and gather inspiration from a fantastic pool of talented ladies. Not that I don't put my heart and soul into the designs, because I do.  This group has a very special place in my heart and I am so proud to call myself a member!

To celebrate our 3rd Anniversary we are recreating member designs.  This was much harder than I thought it would be!  There were way too many amazing designs to narrow down to just four.  After many days of searching I was able to finally to start recreating!

My first recreation is The Manicurator's Neon Flowers.

I started with two coats of Angel with a Leadfoot.  If you are a white lover like me and you haven't add this one to your collection, you are missing out!  This is a fantastic white with a flawless formula.

I added my flower petals using Color Club Kapow, OPI Juice Bar Hopping and Push & Pur-Pull, and China Glaze Ride the Waves.  To create the petals all you do is swatch the polish.  I tried to make them uniform, or at least neat, but it was hard with the large brush. I might try this again with a nail art brush.

I used SinfulColors Irish Green and a nail art brush to add my leaves.  I love the brightness of this green!

I added three dots of DS Titanium using a dotting tool to the center of each flower.

I do like the look of this design, I just wish the flowers where smaller.  I am going to have to revisit this design and put my own spin on it.

Make sure you visit the other ladies to see their recreations!

  1. I really like your take on this manicure! It works perfectly with slightly shorter nails and the bold colours just pop!
