The Digit-al Dozen Does: Geometric - Honeycomb

It is Day Two of The Digit-al Dozen Geometric week and I decided to have some fun with my next design.  Why does geometric have to be all lines and shapes??  Why not throw in something different or maybe the geometry of nature?!

My second design is inspired by the geometric patterns found in nature.  Specifically, the geometry of a honeycomb!

I started with two coats of Barielle Lemondrops.

I added my honeycomb using Milani Black Swift and W113.

In keeping with the "fun" in this manicure, I added a coat of Dust In the Bottle.

And you can't have a honeycomb without some bees!  I added fancy bees using Good As Gold and the bee image from my KKcenterhk plate.

I think I might be inspired for my last two designs!!

  6. Love this! I remember my cell biology teacher always saying "mother nature loves hexagonal packing" and I always think of that when I see honeycomb!

  7. I love the glowing bees and the hex. Hex makes me love yellow whenever I see it! Lovely
