I am completely in LOVE with this design! This is my new favorite design. There is nothing special about it or the colors but it just looks so amazing! It kind of has a retro feel to it also. I thinks it's the colors.
I started with 2 coats of Essie Marshmallow. As I have stated before this is my favorite white. I usually apply 3 coats but because I was adding a design I decided to go with 2.
I got too caught up in dotting that I forgot to take pictures after each step. All I did was add the dots using China Glaze Liquid Leather, Zoya Dove and OPI Thanks A Windmillion for a little pop of color. Also I used different size dotting tools for different size dots.
I topped the design with 2 coats of NYC.
Don't you just love it when a design turns out better than you thought it would?!?! :)
This is so crazy gorgeous.. I don't know if I could possibly love it more!

ReplyDeleteI don't know! Maybe because I try not to rush it. My hands can get kind of shaky so I try to do slow so I don't shake all over the place! :)

ReplyDeletei want to try this! what did you use to make the dots?
ReplyDeleteI second that question...what did you use for the various sized dotting tools?
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing :)
I used my dotting tools. There are 10 different sizes and you just have to practice. Here is a link to a set of tools on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/AMAZING-Marbling-Manicure-Pedicure-Different/dp/B005FJQQMC/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1333449719&sr=8-6
DeleteThanks. I did a very half ass attempt at recreating this that doesn't do your tutorial justice. I'm gonna have to improvise and make some dotting tools of different sizes and try again. Feel free to check out the photo on my blog. Thanks again for the inspiration.
DeleteI really like this color! It reminds me of what's on my nails now - China Glaze Oxygen. :)
